STAY a world away from tourist hot spots at Villa Kerasia, a charming B&B surrounded by rolling hills and vineyards in a central location that make it a great home base.

DO rent a car and explore different parts of the island based on your interest, whether it be relaxing at the dramatic beaches along the south coast or hiking the Samaria Gorge in the west.

EAT where the locals eat by asking for recommendations and dining at small hole in the wall spots where the owner might even be the one who personally takes your order (and always some sort of feta starter).
